🇦🇺 Mark Lowe – Camp Co-Founder & Lead Instructor
With over 20 years of teaching experience, Mark brings a unique combination of education, sport, and leadership to the camp.
He holds a Degree in Education (International Studies) and a Master’s in TEFL/TESOL, specialising in teaching English as a foreign language.
Beyond the classroom, Mark is a former coach of children’s Australian Rules Football and a National Karate Champion, having represented Australia in two world championships. His background gives him a strong focus on discipline, teamwork, and confidence building.
Mark created this camp with a clear purpose:
to show children that there is more to life than screens — and to give them the opportunity to use English in real, meaningful situations.
His approach is practical, energetic, and focused on helping every child step outside their comfort zone and grow.
🇷🇺 Olisa – Camp Co-Founder & Programme Organiser
Olisa is the co-creator of the camp and plays a key role in its organisation and daily operation.
She holds a degree in Journalism and Teaching and runs her own school, where she prepares students for important Russian language exams.
As a mother of two, Olisa brings a deep understanding of what children need to feel safe, supported, and motivated. She combines strong organisation with genuine care, ensuring that every child is looked after both academically and emotionally.
During the camp, Olisa works hands-on with the children, leading one of the teams and helping create a structured, positive, and supportive environment.
Importantly, the camp is supported by Alice, who was born and raised on Popova Island and knows the area in detail. Her local knowledge adds an extra level of safety, organisation, and confidence for both children and parents.
